This is an authentic WWI-era U.S. Army Model 1912 cavalry saddle. The piece features maker marks for Hotze & Sons dated 1918 and stirrups marked Spalding 1917. It includes the original leather components and a 12-inch seat brass plate.

Good Vintage condition. The leather components exhibit extensive surface cracking and drying. There is visible discoloration and surface wear on the seat leather. The brass hardware and metal rings show oxidation and patina. The woven cinch or girth strap shows fraying and material wear.
